Inclusion on the Gillitts 2 Community Network (G2) Emergency group is a privilege and not a right. G2 Admin reserves the right to remove any member should the following rules not be adhered to:
- Please do not suggest a resident to be added to the G2 emergency group on the group. Please send a direct message to an Admin with the following info:
- Full name
- Address
- Cell phone number
- Home phone number
- Email address
- Alarm service provider
Alternatively, the resident may join directly themselves at www.gillitts2.org/register
- Content shared on the group are for G2 members only and may not be shared with any third party or via social media, unless with written permission from a G2 Admin.
- Please do not reply or comment should a resident post on group in error.
- No adverts are permitted.
- The group is only to be used to report suspicious behaviour, warn of a crime in progress or of a crime that has taken place. We currently also allow the reporting of accidents and lost pets within the G2 area.
- When reporting suspicious behaviour please ensure that you have ample reason to find the behaviour suspicious before posting and always include in your post why you find the behaviour suspicious, including a description of the behaviour and persons involved. G2 strongly warns against using racial profiling as a cause to report suspicious behaviour.
- The group is not a chat forum and unnecessary comments, replies to broadcasts or “thank you’s” are not permitted.
- Should you be asked for feedback from an Admin, please abide by the request taking note whether feedback has been requested via direct message or via the group.
- If you are aware of something which is not crime related, or need to query or relay something that you feel is of importance to the community, please contact a G2 Admin so that the relevance of the information to other residents can be determined. G2 only deals with verified information.
- G2 will not tolerate the posting of any jokes, political views, religious comments, hate speech, swearing, or comments of a derogatory or racist nature on groups.
Residents who do not comply with this rule may be removed from the group.
- Do not use the group to inquire if anyone else is experiencing water/electricity/internet outage.
- If you have lost a pet, please include a name, last location, description and a photo if available. If you have found a pet, please include location found, description and a photo if available.
- The group does not replace emergency services or your armed response company and they should be your first contact should a serious incident occur.
If you exit the group, we will assume that it was done in error and you will be re-added. If you have left the area and wish to be removed off the group, please contact one of the G2 Admin via direct message and you will be removed and our records updated.
